Rhizome House 4th Anniversary
Hi friends,
Four years ago The Rhizome House opened its doors with a mission to connect with others who believed in creating better worlds in the shell of the old. The Rhizome House hosts a large open meeting space for reading groups, classes, lectures, open mic nights, or whatever one would want to fill the space with. There is a library with hard to find independent, underground, and radical books, pamphlets, and zines. The space is also home to a technology lab and an enclosed classroom and meeting space. You can check out upcoming events here.
Over these last few years we've provided space and support for others to form social connections as an alternative to domination and oppression. Our growth in these intervening years has been incredible to see, and we could not have done it without the community surrounding and invested in the project.
For this reason we invite you to join us during the Heights Music Hop on Saturday August 29th from 5pm onwards. The space will be open to hang out and share community and we'll be grilling in the back. Food will be provided.
The space is currently undergoing renovations on the masonry and we're preparing the back for the installation of a new accessibility ramp to better serve the community. If you'd like to support the space as we maintain and improve it you can donate here.
Thank you for being a friend and supporter and we hope to see you on Saturday to celebrate four years of Rhizome!
