Cancelled: Sunday Jan 25 Open Hours & Writing Group

The snowpocalypse is upon us, folks. As such, we are preemptively cancelling all Rhizome House events taking place on Sunday, January 25th. We do have upcoming events next week that, as of now, are still on the schedule. Please scroll to the end for a mutual aid request from a local immigrant family who lost their home in a devastating fire.

We hope that you are able to stay safe and warm. Check in on your friends and chosen family, and remember that we keep us safe.

Upcoming Events

Monday, 1/26 6:30pm - 8pm: Cleveland Anarchist Reading Group

Wednesday, 1/28 6:30pm - 8pm: Stitch n/ Bitch

Stitch n' Bitch on Wednesday, January 28th: All fiber arts welcome! Bring your current project and join us for an evening of comradery, skill sharing, and stitching!

Thursday, 1/29 6pm - 10pm: Tabletime: a Space 4 Creative Coworking

Friday, 1/30 6pm - 7:30pm: Bread For My Neighbors

Community is our sharpest tool in the fight against oppression. Learning your neighbor's names is a good place to start building that community, and the gift of bread can help! On Friday, January 30th between 6:00pm and 7:30pm we invite you to stop by The Rhizome House to take a loaf, write a note, and then gift it to your neighbor. Don't know what to write? No problem! Prompts will be provided. Want to give more than bread and a note? You got it! Info on keeping our immigrant neighbors safe will also be available.

Saturday, 1/31 6:30pm - 9:30pm: Northeast Ohio IWW Movie Screening

Mutual Aid Request

Meet the Kori Family, a local Sudanese-American family. In the early morning hours of January 20, 2026 around 3am, their home was destroyed in a fire. Zahraa and Osman escaped safely, but with nothing - No clothing, no belongings, and no home. The Kori family migrated to Cleveland in 2013 and have worked hard ot build a life here. They are parents to two sons, both currently in college. Today, they are starting over from zero. We are raising funds to help the Kori family regain stability, secure essentials, and begin the process of rebuilding their lives. Any support, big or small, or even sharing their story makes a difference. Together we can help restore hope.
