New additions to our library!

New in the library, we've got three gifts from friends halfway across the Midwest. A book of essays from longtime Detroit firebrand, writer, and journalist, Peter Werbe: "Eat the Rich," as well as his historical novel "Summer on Fire" about war, retribution, and revolution https://www.peterwerbe.org/  Then there's the classic from Black and Red Press, also a multi-decade project out of Detroit: "Against His-story, Against Leviathan!" is Fredy Perlman's re-telling of world history from the perspective of the stateless ones, the ones swallowed by Leviathan. To say his book is highly researched is an understatement, but with his narrative style Perlman also unmasks History as myth, as storytelling that favors a certain perspective.

We've also got two new novels, one of them relatively hot off the presses: "A Psalm for the Wild Built" is Becky Chambers' novella about the unlikely friendship between a robot and a monk on a post-revolutionary world. "Voice of the Fire" is Alan Moore's debut novel, a chapter by chapter, century by century tale of outlaws, witches, lunatics, and rebels spanning 6000 years in Northampton, Moore's hometown.
